Since the beginning of this millenium, TGM® has performed turnkey inspections on frame-type Gas Turbine generator units built by GE and Westinghouse. TGM® supplies the technical direction, project management, project coordination, supervision, labor, tooling, repairs, parts sourcing, and start-up support for these outages, bringing you a total turn-key package. We service the entire turbine generator unit: controls, auxiliaries, gearboxes and generator as well as combustion and hot gas path components.
Inspection + Assessment
A TGM® inspection is more than open, clean and close. Our quote includes all of the work implicit to your Statement of Work to achieve a comprehensive inspection – minimizing Change Order surprises. We examine every relevant aspect of the power train. We perform meaningful measurements of components and clearances and record multiple measurements at each location. Recording this extra data allows us to better identify potential problems and enables us to establish trends across successive inspections.
If we find damage or deviation to specification, we perform a full assessment to diagnose the root causes behind the symptom and recommend actions to prevent its return. These recommendations may include operational or maintenance changes. The goal of our comprehensive measurements and proactive approach to repairs is the elimination of future forced outages.
TGM® provides service nationwide, enabling us to service your entire fleet. Our containerized tooling, our national network of approved vendors, and our on-site repair capabilities can deliver rapid service turnaround in even the most remote locations. TGM® can also provide the systems expertise and remanufacturing capability to improve your Gas Turbine efficiency and/or emissions profile. We can improve efficiency through re-engineered turbine components, inlet system mass flow enhancement, and compressor efficiency optimization. We can improve the emissions profile through dry emission technology, water injection and catalytic systems.
